Natsume Ships Week

November 1 - 7, 2026

Welcome to Natsume Ships Week! This is a new fan event dedicated to celebrating any and all ships that Natsume Yuujinchou/Natsume's Book of Friends has to offer. From the rarest of rarepairs to fan-favorites to everything in-between—we welcome them all!We hope you’ll bring your creativity and enthusiasm to celebrate the first ever Natsume Ships Week with us from November 1-7, 2026!If you have any questions or comments after reading through the links below, please feel free to reach out to us directly on tumblr, bsky, or twitter.

Why Natsume Ships Week?

Natsume Yuujinchou is rich with compelling characters and dynamics just waiting to be explored. Instead of running a typical ship week, focused only on a single ship, we decided there should be an event to celebrate all of them. Thus, Natsume Ships Week was born. All ships are welcome here, from rarepairs to fan-favorites to everything in-between ♥︎We hope to encourage fellow NatsuYuu fans to create new fanworks to celebrate all of your favorite ships, participate in the community, and maybe even help someone discover another ship to love!

How can I participate?

Simply take a look at the prompts list with your favorite ships in mind, pick your medium(s) of choice, and create something! Not sure where to start? Here are some different types of fanworks you could try:

  • fanfic

  • fanart or comics

  • fanvids

  • edits (gifsets, screenshot compilations, etc.)

  • meta (analysis, theories, headcanons, etc.)

  • cosplay photos

  • fiber arts/handcraft (embroidery, charms, etc.)

  • floral arrangements

  • …anything else a NatsuYuu ship has inspired you to create!

Please note: this event is not a challenge. We're sharing the prompts far in advance to give you plenty of time to work on your creations. The designated dates, November 1-7, are for when to post your work, not when to start working on them.Natsume Ships Week is purely for fun, so please don’t pressure yourself to create more than you have the capacity to. Life is busy and times are hard, so we just want everyone to have a good time creating whatever you like. Not a creator? You can still participate by engaging with the community! Show your support for creators during this event by leaving comments and kudos on fanworks you love, as well as reblogging/reskeeting/retweeting posts so more fans can see and join in on the fun!Fandom doesn’t exist in a void — it’s what we make of it. So be creative! Be enthusiastic! And, importantly, be respectful :)

Note: If you don’t feel comfortable posting your creative work publicly but still want to share what you’ve made, we're happy to post your work anonymously ♥︎ Contact us on tumblr, bsky, or twitter if you’re interested.
